Consultation times are:
Monday to Friday
9:00am to 12:00noon & 3:00pm to 5:00pm
9:00am to 12:00pm
Consultations can be made for your pet for a whole range of reasons such as any health problems or concerns, vaccination and preventative treatments, injuries, behavioural issues, nutritional advice, alternative and holistic medical advice.
We generally treat smaller companion animals such as dogs, cats, birds, rodents, rabbits, ferrets and reptiles.
During consultation our vets will perform a thorough physical examination and assess any problems or issues you might have with your pet. Our team of qualified nurses is also there to help you and answer any of your questions!
We encourage our clients to book appointments for their pets in order to reduce waiting time and allow us to provide optimal service. In case of emergency it is recommended to phone ahead. This will allow us to make arrangements and be ready to promptly attend to your pet when you arrive the clinic.
The clinic phone number is 02 66724322.
Consultations are generally booked in for 20 minute allocations. If your pet has multiple health issues please let the receptionist know so appropriate time is put aside to address all of the problems. We will always prioritorise any health issues and address the more important ones first. If the consultation runs over-time the veterinarian may charge an additional fee, or may rebook your pet in for a follow up appointment.
If your pet is vomiting or has diarrhea, collecting a fresh stool sample to bring in may be helpful to get appropriate testing performed sooner than later. If there is excessive drinking, inappropriate urination, vomiting or a very sick animal, collecting a fresh urine sample and bringing this in for evaluation may help to speed up the diagnosis of the underlying problem. Both of these samples could be collected in a clean, dry, sealable plastic container, or you can collect a sterile sample container from us prior to your visit.
In certain circumstances it might be difficult to bring your pet to the clinic. Whether they are old, in pain or afraid of traveling. For a consultation in the comfort of your home please do not hesitate to contact us. We will organise a time that is convenient for you and for our vets.
In the case of emergencies our vets are available for telephone advice on 0429724322, and depending on circumstances may be available for after hours consultation.
Our vets are often busy with other calls and emergencies, or could be out of reach for certain periods of time, so please be patient and exercise your own good judgment on whether you need to seek veterinary advice elsewhere.
In these circumstances we recommend Animal Emergency Services, their details are:
